1. Amber Fort

The fort once formed a strong defense ring for the city. It was originally named Sudershangarh, which was later changed to Nahargarh, meaning Abode of tigers.
Nahargarh was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, The King of Jaipur. Nahargarh was constructed as a place of retreat on the summit of the ridge above the city.

3. Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal (meaning “water palace”) is located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city. The palace was built in 1699; and the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the 18th century.
It is among the main attraction as it’s a five-story building of which four floors remain underwater when the lake is full and the top floor is exposed.
4. City Palace
The city palace was built in 1727 by Maharaj Sawai Jai Singh II. From its origin to 1949 it served as the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
The city palace has several buildings, courtyards, and galleries, it’s a royal palace where the King lived and ruled in the 1770s. Visiting the palace is definitely one of the most popular things to do in Jaipur.

5. Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal is on the edge of the city palace and extends to the Zenana, or women’s chambers. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of the founder of the city of Jaipur, India. Pratap Singh was inspired by the Unique structure of Khetri Mahal and he built this grand and historical palace.
Hawa Mahal has 953 windows, called Jharokhas. The idea behind creating such small windows in large quantities was to allow the royal ladies to observe everyday life and festivals celebrated in the street below without being seen. Since they had to obey the strict rules of purdah, which forbade them to appear in public without face coverings.
6. Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is the kind of location you cannot miss, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is near the city palace and the Hawa Mahal. Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments. The monument features instruments operating in each of the three main classical celestial coordinate systems. 7. Albert Hall Museum
Albert Hall Museum is the oldest museum in the state; it’s near Ram Niwas Bagh, which you can also visit. It was opened as a public museum in 1887. Maharaja Ram Singh initially wanted this building to be a town hall, but his successor, Madho Singh II, decided it should be a museum for the art of Jaipur and included it as part of the new Ram Niwas Garden.
The museum has rich collections of artifacts, including paintings, jewelry, captors, ivory, stone, metal sculptures, and works in crystal. The collection includes coins from the Gupta, Kushan, Delhi Sultanate, Mughal, and British periods. An Egyptian mummy is the main attraction of this museum.
8. Jawahar Kala Kendra
